Making Sure Your Vote Counts
In order to facilitate the election of Joanne Cash as Westminster North’s next Member of Parliament it is imperative that ALL of her supporters cast their vote. As a precaution against fraud The Electoral Administration Act 2006 has introduced new measures to improve the security of postal and proxy votes and they now require a date of birth and specimen signature in order to be validated.
As a resident of Westminster North your electoral registration office is located in Westminster City Hall and any correspondence ought to be addressed in the following manner:
Postal Address: Electoral Registration Officer, Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP
Telephone: 020 7641 2730
Email: electoralservices@westminster.gov.uk.
POSTAL VOTES
Joanne recommends that you give serious consideration to registering for the postal voting scheme. This will ensure that your vote will be counted even if unforeseeable circumstances prevent you from going to the Polling Station on Election Day.
PROXY VOTES
If you will be away from your home address during the election period you can register with the proxy voting scheme allowing you to nominate another person to vote on your behalf. On Election Day, your proxy goes to your usual Polling Station, produces the letter of authority they have been sent by the Council, and will be given a ballot paper to vote as your representative.
In order to register for Postal or Proxy Voting please follow these instructions:
